The Gondoliers atau The King of Barataria adalah sebuah operetta (opera yang tidak terlalu serius dan penuh dengan kesenangan) dalam dua babak karya Gilbert dan Sullivan, merupakan operetta ke empatbelas mereka. Opera ini, yang pertama kali dipergerlarkan di Teater Savoy pada 7 Desember 1889, bercerita tentang dua orang gondolier (pendayung gondola di Venesia), dimana salah seorang dari mereka adalah pewaris takhta Kerajaan Barataria, tapi yang mana?
Opera ini bercerita tentang mempelai wanita perwaris takhta kerajaan fiktif Barataraia yang sampai di Venesia untuk bertemu dengan suaminya. ternyata suaminya tidak mudah teridentifikasi karena dia dipercayakan untuk merawat seorang pendayung gondola mabuk yang mencampuradukkan sang pangeran dengan putranya sendiri. Oksana Lyniv, lahir tanggal 6 Januari 1978, adalah dirigen asal Ukraina, sejak 2020 menjadi direktur musik Teatro Comunale di Bologna. Dia mendirikan the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine tahun 2016. Pada 25 Juli 2021 dia menjadi dirigen pada pembukaan Bayreuth Festival, produksi baru Der fliegenda Hollander, sebagai dirigen wanita pertama pada festival tersebut. It includes superb compositions from the most famous Viennese composers against the background of the most beautiful, stylish scenery you can possibly imagine. The Johann Strauss Orchestra and Choir were joined in this wonderful concert by the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, the Vienna debutantes from the Elmayer Dance School, the Platinum Tenors, the sopranos Dagmar Koller, Carmen Monarcha, Carla Maffioletti, Mirusia Louwerse and Suzan Erens, and the interpreter of the traditional Viennese song, Karl Moik.
